Mark Deal

Mark Deal is a podcast editor, entrepreneur, and educator best known as the co-founder of the Podcast Editor Academy, where he helps aspiring editors build profitable and sustainable podcast production businesses.

Mark began his career in audio through music and creative production, developing a strong foundation in sound design and editing. He transitioned into podcasting as the medium grew, quickly establishing himself as a skilled editor working with a variety of shows and clients across industries.

Alongside Steve Stewart, Mark co-founded the Podcast Editor Academy to provide structured training, resources, and mentorship for podcast editors. The program focuses not just on technical skills, but also on the business side of podcasting—helping editors find clients, set rates, and grow their services.

In addition to his work in the academy, Mark is active in the podcasting community, contributing insights on editing workflows, client management, and the evolving role of podcast professionals.
